Nearby Events at the Toyota Music Factory

Located just steps away from the Irving Convention Center, the Toyota Music Factory is one of the most exciting entertainment complexes in the entire Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. For live music, comedy, and other performances, look no further than The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory. Booked by Live Nation, this stunning indoor/outdoor music venue brings the very best touring acts from around the world to Irving.

Also located at the Toyota Music Factory, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is home to signature events year-round in addition to regular movies. Whether you want to attend one of its popular movie quote-alongs, Hopped Up Cinema series, or Geeks Who Drink trivia night at the Vetted Well, the bar inside the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, there’s always special events going on to choose from.

Annual Irving Events

Depending on what time of year you find yourself in Irving, one of the city’s popular annual events may be taking place. And luckily for you, many of Irving’s beloved yearly events take place right near the Irving Convention Center at Lake Carolyn. 

In May, you can attend the DFW Dragon Boat Festival at Lake Carolyn just outside the Irving Convention Center. The annual event features incredible dragon-shaped boats racing for prizes, colorful kite displays, cultural performances, and a stunning lantern festival.

In June, plan to attend Canal Fest, a global cultural festival also on the shores of Lake Carolyn where you can enjoy the music, food, art, and dance of cultures from around the world.

If you find yourself in Irving over the Fourth of July, don’t miss the city’s remarkable Independence Day Celebration with fireworks over Lake Carolyn. Take in the award-winning parade, munch on watermelon wedges, and relax and listen to live music at this special city-wide reception.

Later in the summer, get a little comedy after your day of meetings by attending Laughs by the Lake, a weekly comedy series featuring local and regional talent. Grub on the best local food truck fare and watch the sunset over Lake Carolyn.

Performing Arts and Live Music

Beyond the Convention Center, head to the Irving Arts Center for opportunities to take in performing arts. You’ll find everything from ballet and musicals to symphonies and operas at this cultural hub of Irving that’s only a 10-minute drive away.

You can also find live music playing in Irving just about every night of the week. If the headliners at the Toyota Music Factory don’t suit you, pop into the bars and restaurants to for more live music options. You can also explore the area a bit with jaunts to the nearby OUTLAW Taproom at The Four Seasons or The Ranch at Las Colinas, both of which regularly feature live, local music.
