Airport Transportation

Served by two world class airports, every major U.S. city and the countries of Mexico and Canada can be reached from the Dallas/Fort Worth area within three and a half hours. Both airports are accessible by the area’s public transportation systems.

DFW International Airport:

DFW International Airport, the hub for American Airlines, is immediately adjacent to Irving and easily accessible from any point in the Metroplex. As the third largest airport in the world, DFW operates as its own city with its own area code and serves 166 destinations including 37 international.

Posted highway signs provide easy direction to the airport. From Irving, S.H. 183 on the south side and S.H. 114 or I.H. 635 on the north side provide access to the airport. Within the airport boundaries, one main road - International Parkway - runs the length of the airport, north-south. Terminal buildings provide easy lower-level drop-off for passengers and curbside baggage check.

Dallas Love Field Airport:

Love Field, the hub for Southwest Airlines, is located just north of downtown Dallas. Though not directly on a freeway, it is most easily accessed from either I-35 or HWY 75 (Central Expressway) via the Mockingbird Lane exit (from either freeway). The entrance is located at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Cedar Springs. Love Field is also just minutes from Irving.
